During India’s freedom movement, Mahatma Gandhi encouraged spinning and Khadi as expressions of Swadeshi, self-reliance and the dignity of labour.

Today, makers carry forward techniques across textiles, natural fibres and many other crafts. Our role is to create space for those traditions in a contemporary marketplace.
